Nothing inspires me as much as fog – a very special kind of weather that brings back faded memories, the feeling of nostalgia, loneliness and melancholy. Also, it is such a pleasure to compose a frame when all the unwanted details are hidden behind thick pale sheet.
London has a reputation of a foggy city, but it's not exactly the case, so when I'm on a “fog hunt” I have to check weather forecasts very carefully. On that November Saturday morning there was plenty of fog around. Felt very lucky, I went for a long walk around Crystal Palace and Dulwich, armed with Bronica SQ-AI and a few rolls of expired Kodak Portra 400NC.
