Kodak Gold is all about golden sunlight, isn't it? I had plenty of both in amazing Spain! Visiting Andalusia has been one of the top priorities for quite some time, but I had to put all my travelling plans on hold due to Covid pandemic, of course. When travelling to sunny destinations became a thing again, I was more than exited. Few months earlier Kodak announced launch of Gold in medium format. Love this stock to bits, and the only thing is 200 ISO doesn't seem like a lot for a gloomy UK weather, so I guess that's why I didn't use it enough. Now, finally got a chance to test in a place where the lack of light is not a problem at all. Turned out that the beauty of Andalusia and Kodak Gold 120 (I shot some 35mm as well) are a perfect match. Not sure what they mean by “non-professional stock”, but this film delivers absolutely beautiful tones, very fine pleasing grain, and lots of fine details when shot in medium format. Exposure latitude? If you go two-three stops over, you'll be perfectly fine. For medium format I used Bronica SQ-AI (can't get enough of the square), and Canon A1 for 35mm.
